Books are often thought of as an escape. As readers, we get so attached to fictional characters, relationships, places, and events that we can forget about our realities for a short time.
Reading can totally absorb us. From a character’s headspace to the magical new world an author creates, books allow us to see things from an entirely new perspective. Additionally, stories can leave us wanting more. Sometimes they pull at our heart strings with an unfortunate death or they make us feel happy with a satisfactory happily-ever-after ending.
